about

Sold out for many years, the new edition of 'Livro de Areia' is now available in Digipack format, an album released in 2015, the first with the current quartet. Many of the themes are still played live.

Recorded live in studio on December 28, 2014, 'Livro de Areia' reveals a more electric side of Al-jiçç, combining Mediterranean melodies with rock crudeness, Middle Eastern and North African grooves and modal improvisations .

The title is a reference to Jorge Luis Borges’s tale.
